Demetra Trading supplies flax seed (linseed) from Black Sea and Baltic growing areas for human nutrition and industrial drying-oil markets. Oil content is typically 38–42% for premium food grades with linolenic acid (C18:3) around 50–60% for maximum ALA contribution.
Food-grade and industrial linseed
Food-grade flax seed is valued for its high alpha-linolenic acid (ALA, an omega-3 fatty acid) content and is used in bakery, milled seed products and dietary supplements, with heavy-metal and microbiological screens suitable for human consumption. Industrial linseed grades emphasize film-forming linseed oil for paints, coatings and polymers, with slightly wider purity tolerances than food lots. Each cargo ships with a Certificate of Analysis and phytosanitary certificate.
